ABOUT US

As someone who is deaf, I understand first-hand the challenges and joys of navigating the world of communication.

My personal experiences shape my desire to teach BSL (British Sign Language). 

​I started as a BSL learner myself being born profoundly Deaf. I struggled at times to understand and be understood. This experience gives me a deep sense of empathy for my students who might find learning challenging.

As I grew up I set up Sign Language courses within Universities and Schools; and founded a national network of University Sign Language Societies. On a more personal note, I mentored Deaf students helping them celebrate their Deaf identity.

As well as teaching sign language, I'm passionate about sharing the beauty of Deaf culture with you, immersing you in a rich, diverse community.

I believe that building an inclusive society is our collective opportunity, so we create a world where everyone can communicate freely. 

 In my spare time, I'm a creative soul. I find inspiration in woodwork and 3D printing, which allows me to express my creativity in tangible ways.
